Background: We report the clinical results and prognostic factors of image-guided radiation therapy (RT) with helical tomotherapy (HT) for localized and recurrent prostate cancer (PC).
Patients And Methods: We evaluated 70 patients with PC (primary diagnosis, n = 48; adjuvant, n = 5; salvage, n = 17) treated with HT from May 2006 through January 2011. The dose prescribed to the prostate/surgical bed ranged between 60 and 78 Gy.
Purpose: To describe the clinical results and tolerance of the combined treatment with radiotherapy and cetuximab for locally advanced head and neck cancer.
Patients And Methods: From August 2006 and October 2010, 36 patients with advanced squamous cell head and neck carcinoma were treated with radiotherapy (70Gy/35 fractions) and cetuximab (400mg/m(2) one week before radiotherapy, following by 250mg/m(2) once weekly, until week 7 of radiotherapy). Tolerance was evaluated every week.
Objective: Recent recommendations regarding indications of accelerated partial breast irradiation (APBI) have been put forward for selected breast cancer (BC) patients. However, some treatment planning parameters, such as total dose, are not yet well defined. The Institut Gustave Roussy has initiated a dose escalation trial at the 40 Gy/10 fractions/5 days and at a further step of total dose (TD) of 42 Gy/10 fractions/ 5 days.
