Background: Early onset pediatric multiple sclerosis (EOPMS) provides an early window of opportunity to understand the mechanisms leading to MS.

Objective: To investigate clinical, laboratory and imaging differences between children with early onset pediatric MS (<11 years, EOPMS) and late onset pediatric MS (≥11 years, LOPMS).

Methods: Mostly prospectively collected data of children with MS including clinical presentation, MRI at onset, time to second relapse, relapse rate, treatment history, and CSF markers were eligible.

Objectives: The key objective of this study was to assess the validity of a commercially available in-house Lymphocyte Transformation Test (LTT) as a diagnostic parameter and indicator of disease activity/therapeutic efficacy in the context of Lyme neuroborreliosis (LNB).

Methods: A prospective dual-centre study was conducted from 05/14 - 01/18. With respect to Borrelia-LTT a comparison was made between patients suffering from confirmed acute LNB and patients being affected by inflammatory neurologic diseases, defining the control group: Bell's palsy, viral meningitis, herpes zoster, Guillain-Barré-Syndrome and Encephalomyelitis disseminate.

Postnatal critical periods of synaptic plasticity (CPsp) are characterized by profound neural network refinement, which is shaped by synaptic activity and sculpted by maturation of the GABAergic network. Even after therapeutic hypothermia (TH), neonatal hypoxia-ischemia (HI) impairs two triggers for the initiation of the CPsp in the hippocampus: i) PSA-NCAM developmental decline and ii) parvalbumin (PV) + interneuron (IN) maturation. Thus, we investigated whether neonatal HI despite TH disturbs other events governing the onset, consolidation and closure of the postnatal CPsp in the hippocampus.

Engineering plastics, such as polyoxymethylene (POM), are high-performance thermoplastics designed to withstand high temperature or mechanical stress and are used in electronic equipment, the automotive industry, construction, or specific household utensils. POM is immiscible with other plastics but due to a low volume of production, no methods were developed to separate it from the residual plastic waste stream. Therefore, POM recycling is minimal despite its high market value.

Cryptocurrency is an attempt to create an alternative to centralized financial systems using blockchain technology. However, our understanding of the psychological mechanisms that drive cryptocurrency adoption is limited. This study examines the role of basic human values in three stages of cryptocurrency adoption-awareness, intention to buy, and ownership-using the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB).
