The technology of 3D printing, particularly fused deposition modeling (FDM) 3D printing, has revolutionized the development of electrochemical biosensors, offering a versatile and cost-effective approach for clinical applications. This review explores the integration of FDM in fabricating biosensing platforms tailored for clinical diagnostics, emphasizing its role in detecting various biomarkers and viral pathogens. Advances in 3D printing materials, especially the emergence of bespoke conductive filaments, have allowed the production of highly customizable and efficient biosensors.

A systematic review of the genus Tyzzeria Allen, 1936 (Chromista: Apicomplexa), including the molecular phylogenetic position of Tyzzeria parvula (Kotlán, 1933) Klimeš, 1963.

Tyzzeria Allen, 1936 is a coccidian genus traditionally associated with Anseriformes, although there are descriptions of Tyzzeria spp. from junglefowls, snakes, skinks and mice. In this sense, the current study performs a taxonomic review of Tyzzeria spp.

Septicemic omphalophlebitis by Streptococcus equi subsp. zooepidemicus in a southern right whale calf (Eubalaena australis).

Southern right whales (Eubalaena australis) are mysticete cetaceans commonly observed in the coastal waters of Brazil, particularly in Santa Catarina State. There is limited understanding of the causes of calf mortality in this species, particularly concerning infectious diseases. We report a case of omphalophlebitis caused by Streptococcus equi subsp.

Pancreatic adenocarcinoma during pregnancy. Case report.

Pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma during pregnancy is extremely rare. Overall, including our case, only 19 cases confirmed antepartum have been reported to date. We report the case of a 37 year-old woman at 24 weeks of pregnancy in whom a pancreatic adenocarcinoma was identified during investigation of a suspected acute pancreatitis.
