Unlabelled: At temperatures above about 600 °C, alkali feldspar forms a continuous solid solution between the Na and K end members. Towards lower temperatures a miscibility gap opens, and alkali feldspar of intermediate composition exsolves, forming an intergrowth of relatively more Na-rich and K-rich lamellae. During exsolution, the crystal structure usually remains coherent across the lamellar interfaces, a feature that may be preserved over geological times.

Objective: Neonates with medical problems need transfer from the place of birth to a neonatal (intensive care) unit after birth by a specialized neonatal transport team. Neonatal transport is accompanied by a high emotional burden for the families due to spatial separation, uncertainty and care for the neonate. This survey of parents' needs was a quality control project of the neonatal transport team of the University Children's Hospital Zurich, Switzerland.

To accomplish this objective, a low-cost and pure NaA Zeolite (NaAZ) was synthesized with 93% crystallinity from Austrian fly ash (AFA) as a precursor for the first-time. Taguchi design was employed to optimize critical parameters such as the SiO/AlO ratio, alkalinity concentration, time, and temperature.
