MicroRNA (miRNA) is a promising biomarker for the early diagnosis of pancreatic cancer. To enable sensitive and reliable miRNA detection, we have developed a one-pot isothermal CRISPR/Dx detection system by combining rolling circle amplification (RCA) and CRISPR/Cas12a. RCA and CRISPR/Cas12a reactions are carried out in a single closed tube, bypassing the transferring step.

The vRNA and antigen assays achieved lower limit of detection (LOD) of 100 copies/reaction and 3.5 TCID₅₀/mL, respectively.

This study reports on antigen (Ag) and microfilaria (Mf) prevalence in Samoa in 2019, 7-9 months after the completion of the first round of triple-drug mass drug administration (MDA). It evaluates the effectiveness of the intervention for reducing Ag prevalence to below a 2% threshold, and how this differs between 5-9-year-olds and ≥10-year-olds.
