Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) is a prevalent neurodevelopmental disorder characterized by social, communication, and behavioral challenges. Emergency medical services (EMS) environments, with their loud noises, bright lights, and unfamiliar personnel, often exacerbate these challenges, making care for individuals with ASD particularly complex.
