Although effective as a chemotherapy, the utility of Doxorubicin (Dox) is hampered by cardiotoxicity. Despite this, the ability to predict and guide monitoring of patients receiving Dox or other anthracyclines is hampered by a lack of effective biomarkers to identify susceptible patients, and to detect early signs of subclinical cardiotoxicity. Based on their well-established roles in the response to Dox and other chemotherapies, we performed a retrospective analysis of serum and plasma sphingolipids (SLs) from patients undergoing anthracycline-containing therapy, correlating with cardiac parameters assessed by echocardiography.

Objectives: Advanced therapy medicinal products (ATMPs) are transformative healthcare interventions, however, there has been limited research exploring their value. The objective of this study was to conduct a thematic analysis as part of a documentary analysis to identify value attributes of ATMPs.

Methods: As part of the NICE assessment processes in England, stakeholders are invited to provide comments on the technology.

Introduction: National surveillance efforts have reported rural-urban disparities in childhood vaccination coverage by metropolitan statistical area designations, measured at the county level. This study's objective was to quantify vaccination trends using more discrete measures of coverage and rurality than prior work.

Methods: Serial, cross-sectional analyses of National Immunization Survey-Child restricted-use data collected in 2015-2021 for US children born 2014-2018 were conducted.

The reduced density matrix that characterises the state of an open quantum system is a projection from the full density matrix of the quantum system and its environment, and there are many full density matrices consistent with a given reduced version. Without a specification of relevant details of the environment, the time evolution of a reduced density matrix is therefore typically unpredictable, even if the dynamics of the full density matrix are deterministic. With this in mind, we investigate a two-level open quantum system using a framework of quantum state diffusion.

Guidelines suggest the Liver Imaging Reporting and Data System (LI-RADS) may not be applicable for some populations at risk for hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). However, data assessing the association of HCC risk factors with LI-RADS major features are lacking. To evaluate whether the association between HCC risk factors and each CT/MRI LI-RADS major feature differs among individuals at-risk for HCC.
