We present the case of a 39-year-old woman with postpartum cerebellar infarction (CI) following spinal anesthesia for cesarean delivery. The patient experienced mild headache after postoperative day 1 and returned on postoperative day 6 with a severe headache. For the subsequent 3 days, she underwent conservative treatment for presumed postdural puncture headache (PDPH) before neurologic decline and diagnosis of CI on postoperative day 9.

Potential for cost savings related to the provision of anesthesia care has the potential to significantly impact sustainability. This study defines and quantifies routine and preventable anesthetic drug waste and the patient, procedure, and anesthesia provider characteristics associated with increased waste.

Due to recent advances in the physical monitoring of DNA intermediates during meiosis, new cytological methods for visualization of chromosomes during pairing and exchange, and progress in the identification and analysis of recombination-defective mutants, a general picture of the order and dependencies of specific recombination events is now emerging.

The SPO11 gene, required for meiotic recombination in Saccharomyces cerevisiae, has been cloned by direct selection for complementation of the spo11-1 phenotype: lack of meiotic recombination and low spore viability. DNA sequencing indicates that the gene encodes a 398-amino acid protein having a predicted molecular mass of 45.3 kDa.

TC7 cells became quiescent when their number reached a high cell density, or when serum factors were depleted from media containing a low concentration of fetal bovine serum (FBS). There was a stoichiometric relationship between the concentration of serum present and the number of new cells produced.
