11% complications rate after Latarjet procedure at up to 14 years follow-up.

Purpose: Evaluate complications in correlation with radiological findings after an open Latarjet procedure performed on 140 shoulders with recurrent anterior instability with follow-up from 8 to 174 months.

Methods: Retrospectively, 140 shoulders, diagnosed with recurrent anterior glenohumeral instability, which were surgically treated with the open Latarjet procedure in our hospital, between January 2004 and November 2017, had been analysed. Mean age of operated patients was 29.

Elder mistreatment and the Elder Justice Act.

Elder mistreatment is unrecognized, hidden, and underreported. Studies show that health professionals, nurses among them, are largely unaware of the various forms of elder mistreatment that take place and of the proper course of action to pursue when mistreatment is suspected. In this article, we describe elder mistreatment policies, examining them in the light of the United States national elder abuse policies with a focus on important provisions of the Elder Justice Act.

Psychometric evaluation of the nurses' attitudes toward eICU scale.

The eICU technology system has been implemented nationwide to facilitate efficient and safe care for patients. The purpose of this study was to provide psychometric evidence of the reliability and validity of an instrument, the Nurses' Attitudes Toward eICU Scale (NATES). The study involved 117 registered nurses working in critical care units that had not yet implemented eICU technology.

Advanced health assessment in nurse practitioner programs: follow-up study.

The increase in advanced practice graduate programs and the inclusion of content and skills related to advanced health assessment as a core competency for practice served as the impetus for a 5-year follow-up study to track the changes, methodologies, and integration of technology into practitioner programs. The questionnaire was mailed to the faculty/schools listed as current members in the National Health Service Corps Nurse Practitioner Faculty Advocate Network. The number of responding schools was 135 (44%).

Advanced health assessment in nurse practitioner programs.

The purpose of this study was to examine the content, teaching methodologies, depth, and placement of advanced health assessment courses within nurse practitioner programs. Survey research was conducted with 140 schools of nursing listed in the Public Health Service/National Health Service Corp Nurse Practitioner Faculty Network in the United States. The majority of the schools reported that health assessment was taught as a course over an entire semester or quarter in their respective programs.
