Shape-controlled precursors enable grain alignment without using an applied magnetic field in the permanent magnet material strontium hexaferrite. The effect is investigated by conducting four series of experiments using different compaction methods: two cold and two hot compactions. The hypothesis is that magnetic short-circuiting will diminish the grain alignment (texture) in cold compacted samples.

Background: Schizophrenia and bipolar disorder are characterized by social cognitive impairments, and recent research has identified alterations of the social brain. However, it is unknown whether familial high risk (FHR) of these disorders is associated with neurobiological alterations already present in childhood.

Methods: As part of the Danish High Risk and Resilience Study-VIA 11, we examined children at FHR of schizophrenia (n = 121, 50% female) or bipolar disorder (n = 75, 47% female) and population-based control children (PBCs) (n = 128, 48% female).

The realization of benefits from health information technology (HIT) implementation takes place in the long tail of implementation that must integrate technology, work practices and contextual factors. While formal health informatics education programs exist, they tend to be focused at the strategic management or specialized implementation level. HIT support at the local level often falls to clinical care staff that have little or no formal training in HIT implementation.
