This article reviews the reasons to take a prebiopsy photograph and the consequences that can ensue when one is not taken. Electronic medical record systems compatible with mobile devices can record clinical photographs that comply with patient privacy regulations, making them the method of choice for dermatologic photo documentation. Correct photographic documentation technique also is critical and is reviewed with examples.

Neurotropic viruses are a major public health concern as they can cause encephalitis and other severe brain diseases. Many of these viruses, including flaviviruses, herpesviruses, rhabdoviruses and alphaviruses enter the brain through the olfactory neuroepithelium (ONE) in the olfactory bulbs (OB). Due to the low percentage of encephalitis that occurs following these infections, it's thought that the OBs have specialized innate immune responses to eliminate viruses.

Radiopharmaceutical therapy (RPT) enhances tumor response to immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICI) in preclinical models, but the effects of different radioisotopes have not been thoroughly compared. To evaluate mechanisms of response to RPT+ICI, we used NM600, an alkylphosphocholine selectively taken up by most tumors. Effects of Y-, Lu-, and Ac-NM600 + ICIs were compared in syngeneic murine models, B78 melanoma (poorly immunogenic) and MC38 colorectal cancer (immunogenic).
