Role of 3D ultrasound in the treatment of stress urinary incontinence with polyacrylamide hydrogel (Bulkamid®) - A pilot study.

Introduction And Hypothesis: Polyacrylamide hydrogel (PAHG) is a bulking agent used in treatment of stress urinary incontinence (SUI) in women. Some women experience an improvement or cure in stress urinary incontinence (SUI) symptoms lasting only a few weeks after the injection of the bulking agent. The aim of this study was to use three-dimensional ultrasound (3DUS) to describe the changes in volume, number of deposits and echogenicity of the bulking agent 3 months after PAHG injection.

Weight Loss Induces Changes in Vitamin D Status in Women with Obesity but not in Men: a Randomized Clinical Trial.

Context: Obesity is associated with low vitamin D and recent studies have suggested a difference in vitamin D metabolism between females and males.

Objective: The aim of this study was to investigate the effects of weight loss on vitamin D status in individuals with obesity, and secondarily, whether vitamin D metabolism differs between women and men.

Methods: Secondary analysis from a randomized placebo-controlled trial, designed to investigate the efficacy of 52 weeks of treatment with either liraglutide, exercise or combined, compared with placebo on weight loss maintenance after an 8-week low-calorie diet-induced weight loss in 195 individuals with obesity (BMI 32-43 kg/m2).

Health And Performance Promotion in Youth (HAPPY) hybrid effectiveness-implementation cluster randomised trial: comparison of two strategies to implement an injury prevention exercise programme in Danish youth handball.

Objective: To investigate if a combination of an online and onsite implementation strategy was superior to an online-only strategy in enhancing the use of an injury prevention exercise programme (IPEP) and in reducing the risk of shoulder, knee and ankle injuries in youth community handball players (age 11-17) over a handball season.

Methods: In this 30-week hybrid effectiveness-implementation cluster randomised type 3 study, 20 youth handball clubs were randomly assigned 1:1 to either a combined online and onsite implementation strategy (coach workshop using the health action process approach behaviour change model and health service provider (HSP) support) or an online-only strategy (control group). The primary implementation outcome was coach-reported adherence, measured as the average IPEP exercise usage by the team over 30 weeks.

Immune Checkpoint Inhibitor-Induced Cardiotoxicity: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis.

Importance: Immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) improve outcomes in a wide range of cancers; however, serious adverse effects, including cardiovascular adverse effects (CVAEs), can occur.

Objective: To determine the incidence of CVAEs and analyze data on the management of myocarditis in patients exposed to ICIs.

Data Sources: PubMed, Embase, and Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials from inception were searched on April 4, 2023.
