In pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC), fibroblast activation leads to excessive secretion of extracellular matrix (ECM) and soluble factors that regulate tumor progression, prompting investigation into endoplasmic reticulum (ER)-resident proteins that may support this activation. We identified FKBP7, a peptidyl-prolyl isomerase in the ER, as overexpressed in PDAC stroma compared to cancer cells, and in patients with favorable prognosis. Analysis of single-cell RNA sequencing databases revealed FKBP7 expression in pancreatic stellate cells (PSCs) and cancer-associated fibroblasts (CAFs).

Through the use of radiotracers, clinicians can target specific tumor cells, assess microenvironments, and identify metastases. These radiopharmaceuticals, based on radionuclides, enable both imaging and therapeutic applications, leading to personalized cancer treatment.

We examined the hospital care trajectories of these patients and identified associated clinical determinants.
Materials And Methods: We linked the ELCAPA multicenter cohort study (patients aged ≥70 with a solid tumor and having been referred for a geriatric assessment between 2012 and 2019) and the Greater Paris University Hospitals' clinical data warehouse.
Unlabelled: Focal adhesion kinase (FAK) functions as a signaling and scaffolding protein within endothelial cells (ECs) impacting blood vessel function and tumor growth. Interpretations of EC FAK-null phenotypes are complicated by related PYK2 (protein tyrosine kinase 2) expression, and to test this, we created PYK2 FAK mice with tamoxifen-inducible EC-specific Cre recombinase expression. At 11 weeks of age, EC FAK inactivation resulted in increased heart and lung mass and vascular leakage only on a PYK2 background.
