Evaluation of the Nijmegen Cochlear Implant Questionnaire in Danish.

 The Nijmegen cochlear implant questionnaire (NCIQ) is a quantifiable self-assessment health-related quality of life (HRQoL) tool used internationally to determine quality of life (QoL) in cochlear implant (CI) users and to evaluate the implant's subjective benefits.  This study aimed to validate the Danish version of the questionnaire (DA-NCIQ) with a test-retest including 60 participants (30 CI users and 30 CI candidates).  The intraclass correlation coefficients (ICC) were calculated to evaluate the temporal stability of the participants' answers and the internal consistency of the questionnaire domains was determined using the Cronbach alpha in order to compare these results with the NCIQ's other language versions.

(Digital) Mind-Body Intervention to Promote Health and Subjective Well-Being of Residents in Nursing Homes: A Cluster-Randomized Controlled Pilot Study.

Background: Nursing care insurance companies in Germany have the legal mandate to develop measures to strengthen the health resources of residents of nursing homes. The present study aimed to examine a mindfulness-informed mind-body intervention (on-site and app) adapted for residents in nursing homes regarding their effect on health-related parameters.

Background: In Burkina Faso, nearly half of the population is under 15 years old, and one in four adolescents experience depression. This underscores the critical need to enhance mental health literacy among adolescents and youth, empowering them to manage their mental well-being effectively. Comic books offer an engaging approach to health education, yet their effectiveness in addressing mental health remains largely untested.

Biodiversity Change in Cultural Landscapes-The Rural Hotspot Hypothesis.

A dramatic decrease of biodiversity is currently questioning human-environment interactions that have shaped ecosystems over thousands of years. In old cultural landscapes of Central and East European (CEE) countries, a vast species decline has been reported for various taxa although intensive land cultivation has been reduced in favor of agroecological transformation, nature conservation and sustainable land management in the past 30 years. Thus, in the recent history, agricultural intensification cannot solely be discussed as the major driver controlling biodiversity.
