A comprehensive study of the angular distributions in the bottom-baryon decays Λ_{b}^{0}→Λ_{c}^{+}h^{-}(h=π,K), followed by Λ_{c}^{+}→Λh^{+} with Λ→pπ^{-} or Λ_{c}^{+}→pK_{S}^{0} decays, is performed using a data sample of proton-proton collisions corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 9 fb^{-1} collected by the LHCb experiment at center-of-mass energies of 7, 8, and 13 TeV. The decay parameters and the associated charge-parity (CP) asymmetries are measured, with no significant CP violation observed. For the first time, the Λ_{b}^{0}→Λ_{c}^{+}h^{-} decay parameters are measured.

We aimed to explore and describe stakeholder perspectives on information needs when making decisions about vascular access (VA) for haemodialysis.
Methods: We performed thematic analysis of seven (six online, one in person) focus group discussions including transcripts, post-it phrases and text responses with 14 patients and 12 vascular access professionals (four nephrologists, three surgeons and five nurses - Vascular access nurse specialists/Education and dialysis nurses) who participated in at total of six online and one in person focus group.
Phenyl arsine oxide (PAO) is a vesicant, similar to Lewisite, a potential chemical warfare agent and an environmental contaminant. PAO-induced skin burns can trigger acute organ injury, including lungs. We have recently demonstrated that PAO burns can also has a delayed toxicity, although the specific mechanism/s remain to be determined.

In birds, timing of gonadal development and moult are primarily regulated by photoperiod, while laying date is highly phenotypically plastic to temperature. We tested whether geographic variation in phenology of these life-cycle events between populations of great tits () has a genetic basis, indicating that contemporary genetic adaptation is possible.

Invasive daily injections often result in poor patient compliance with chronic disease, and here, we demonstrate an innovative strategy of encapsulating reversible cota self-assembled fibers within an in-situ forming depot of low molecular weight poly(lactic-co-glycolic) acid (LWPLGA) for sustained delivery GLP-1 and Glucagon receptor agonist with controlled burst release. This could be a suitable alternative to other sustained delivery strategies for fibrillating peptides.
