GLP1Ra-based therapies and DXA-acquired musculoskeletal health outcomes: a focused meta-analysis of placebo-controlled trials.

Objective: The objective of this study was to evaluate the effect of glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor agonist (GLP1Ra)-based therapies on change in dual-energy x-ray absorptiometry (DXA)-acquired lean mass (LM) or bone mineral density (BMD).

Methods: PubMed and Web of Science were searched from database inception through January 29, 2024, for randomized, placebo-controlled trials reporting on change in DXA-acquired LM or BMD measures associated with 12+ weeks of GLP1Ra-based treatment. Of 2618 articles, 9 trials met prespecified search criteria, with 7 reporting on change in total body LM and 2 reporting on change in BMD.

Characterization of AAV vectors: A review of analytical techniques and critical quality attributes.

Standardized evaluation of adeno-associated virus (AAV) vector products for biotherapeutic application is essential to ensure the safety and efficacy of gene therapies. This includes analyzing the critical quality attributes of the product. However, many of the current analytical techniques used to assess these attributes have limitations, including low throughput, large sample requirements, poorly understood measurement variability, and lack of comparability between methods.

Impacts of educational interventions of librarian instruction on health information seeking attitudes and behaviors in an employee wellness program.

Objective: Health literacy and its potential impacts on the wellbeing of patrons remain a highly regarded objective among health science and medical librarians when considering learning outcomes of patron communities. Librarians are positioned to champion literacy instruction activities. This study aimed to examine health information seeking attitudes and behaviors in an academic-based employee wellness program before and after health literacy workshops were developed and facilitated by an academic health sciences librarian.

Strategies to promote language inclusion at 17 CTSA hubs.

The prioritization of English language in clinical research is a barrier to translational science. We explored promising practices to advance the inclusion of people who speak languages other than English in research conducted within and supported by NIH Clinical Translational Science Award (CTSA) hubs. Key informant interviews were conducted with representatives ( = 24) from CTSA hubs ( = 17).

Comparison of Visual Symptom Frequency and Occupational Issues Between Patients With and Without Concussion.

Importance: Occupational therapy practitioners' knowledge of and advocacy for clients with visual symptoms postconcussion can have a considerable impact on recovery.

Objective: To compare the frequency of vision symptoms and occupational performance deficits in a sample of participants with and without concussion.
