Objective: To study the impact of a CT serology on intrauterine insemination (IUI) cumulative live-birth rate (cLBR) in women with documented bilateral tubal patency.
Design: Cohort study SUBJECTS: Infertile women with documented bilateral tubal patency and medical indication of IUI matched on the following criteria: woman's age, number of cycles completed and number of motile sperm inseminated (NMSI).
Exposure: This retrospective, observational and monocentric cohort study compared women with positive CT serology matched 1:1 to control women with negative CT serology.
While bioactivity and a favorable safety profile for biotherapeutics is of utmost importance, manufacturability is also worth of consideration to ease the manufacturing process. Manufacturability in the scientific literature is mostly related to stability of formulated drug substances, with limited focus on downstream process-related manufacturability, that is, how easily can a protein be purified. Process-related impurities or biological impurities like viruses and host cell proteins (HCP) are present in the harvest which have mostly acid isoelectric points and need to be removed to ensure patient safety.

Vision relies on the continuous exchange of material between the photoreceptors, retinal pigment epithelium and choriocapillaris, a dense microvascular bed located underneath the outer retina. The anatomy and physiology of the choriocapillaris and their association with retinal homeostasis have proven difficult to characterize, mainly because of the unusual geometry of this vascular bed. By analysing tissue dissected from 81 human eyes, we show that the thickness of the choriocapillaris does not vary significantly over large portions of the macula or with age.
