Impact of behavior and mood of people with specific needs on quality and feasibility of teledentistry: A five years retrospective study.

Background: The e-DENT program, initiated by Montpellier University Hospital's Department of Dentistry, seeks to enhance dental care access for individuals with special needs through teledentistry. This five-year retrospective study focuses on the program's impact, particularly assessing patients' mood and behavior during telemedicine dental examinations and the influence of these factors on diagnostic quality and feasibility.

Methods: This retrospective, multicentric observational study analyzed data from January 1, 2018, to April 24, 2023, involving residents of medico-social institutions who participated in the e-DENT program.

Interprofessional survey on knowledge and attitudes of midwives regarding oral health, in France.

Introduction: Oral health is essential for psychosocial well-being and general health. For expectant mothers, pregnancy increases the risk of oral diseases and has a subsequent impact on the oral health of a child once born. Midwives are in charge of pregnancy monitoring, childbirth and newborns' first days of life.

[The e-DENT teledentistry project: Achievements, lessons learned, and perspectives].

In October 2010, the decree n°2010–1229 relating to telemedicine, published in the “Journal officiel de la république française” (JORF) n°0245 of October 21, 2010, specified the terms of the application of telemedicine in France. The practice of remote oral medicine is now becoming more widespread in the country. Since 2010, the dental public health team of the University Hospital (CHU) of Montpellier and the University of Montpellier has been working on the subject, with nearly ten thousand telemedicine acts performed as part of the work of the “First consultation and telemedicine” Medical Activity Unit of the Center for Dental Care, Teaching and Research (CSERD) of the CHU of Montpellier.

[The oral health component of «100% santé» reform: initial descriptive elements].

The “100% Santé” (100% Health) reform constitutes a major change to oral health pricing and insurance practices in France. The objective of this study was to observe the evolution of dental care consumption, and in particular prosthetic care, over a period including the years before and after the reform. This exploratory study, based on descriptive data, provides the first elements of analysis useful for evaluating the oral health component of the “100% Santé” reform.

Interprofessional Survey on Knowledge and Attitudes on Oral Health among Nurses in France.

Purpose: Healthcare professionals (HCPs) play a key role in improving the health literacy of patients. Since oral health is an essential part of overall health, the objective of this study was to assess the knowledge and attitudes about oral health among registered nurses.
