Prenatal Detection of D-TGA and Novel Interventional Program Decrease Time to Balloon Septostomy.

Infants with dextro-transposition of the great arteries (d-TGA) are at high risk for hemodynamic compromise in the immediate postnatal period due to dependence on intracardiac mixing for oxygen delivery. This period of profound hypoxemia may have long-term implications, as previous studies demonstrated patients with d-TGA are at increased risk for neurocognitive delays despite effective surgical correction in the neonatal period. Balloon atrial septostomy (BAS) is an established intervention that improves intracardiac mixing and perioperative hemodynamics.

Optimization and Tradeoff Analysis for Multiple Configurations of Bio-Energy with Carbon Capture and Storage Systems in Brazilian Sugarcane Ethanol Sector.

Bio-energy systems with carbon capture and storage (BECCS) will be essential if countries are to meet the gas emission reduction targets established in the 2015 Paris Agreement. This study seeks to carry out a thermodynamic optimization and analysis of a BECCS technology for a typical Brazilian cogeneration plant. To maximize generated net electrical energy (MWe) and carbon dioxide CO capture (Mt/year), this study evaluated six cogeneration systems integrated with a chemical absorption process using MEA.

Encountering the health and social environment after a pregnancy loss: A grounded theory study from male perspective.

Aim: To develop an empirical model that explores and explains the social process of the encounters of men who suffered pregnancy loss with health and social environments.

Methods: A constructivist grounded theory method was performed, whereby 23 couples were interviewed using a semi-structured interview. Men that suffered pregnancy loss were analysed iteratively, with line-by-line and incident-to-incident coding, focused coding and axial coding, until data saturation and the emergence of theory.

Knight by force and wounded, protecting without a shield: A meta-ethnography of men's experiences after an involuntary pregnancy loss.

Objective: To synthesize the available body of qualitative research regarding the experiences of men after an involuntary pregnancy loss.

Design: Noblit and Hare's interpretive meta-ethnography of 13 original qualitative articles was carried out.

Results: After reciprocal and refutational translations, the lines of argument synthesis were developed, together with the metaphor "Knight by force and wounded, protecting without a shield.

Pregnancy after perinatal loss: A meta-ethnography from a women's perspective.

Objective: This study uses a meta-ethnography to synthesize qualitative research on the experiences of women during pregnancies after one or more perinatal losses.

Design: This interpretive meta-ethnography followed the Noblit and Hare approach and the eMERGe Meta-ethnography Reporting Guidance. Manual searches and a comprehensive systematic search were conducted in Pubmed, Scopus, Cinahl, Web of Science, and Psycinfo.
