We show that in plasmas generated in deuterium in the presence of sputtered W surfaces, various molecular tungsten species are formed, whose chemical composition depends on the presence of gaseous impurities, namely, nitrogen, oxygen, and hydrogen. A magnetron discharge was used for plasma sustaining, and the species were investigated by mass spectrometry and optical emission spectroscopy. The identified tungsten-containing molecules are described by the chemical formula WONDH, where x = 0-4, y = 0-3, z = 0-3, t = 0-5.

Article Synopsis
  • * This study investigated the effects of spore-forming probiotic bacteria (MegaSporeBiotic) and metformin in rats treated with DEXA, aiming to see if they could reduce these negative metabolic effects.
  • * Results indicated that the combination treatment with probiotics and metformin improved cholesterol levels in the DEXA-treated rats, hinting at potential benefits of using probiotics to manage glucocorticoid-induced metabolic disturbances.

Amyand's hernia (AH) is a rare type of inguinal hernia, containing the appendix in the hernia sac irrespective of the presence of appendicitis. Appendiceal mucocele represents a dilation of the appendix with an accumulation of mucinous material and could be either a benign or a malignant process. Herein we report an exceptionally rare case of a perforated appendiceal mucocele within an AH.

In this work, we describe an ion mass spectra processing method from plasmas generated in Ar and Ar/H gases in contact with tungsten surfaces. For this purpose, advanced model functions, i.e.

This paper presents a novel supervised convolutional neural network architecture, "DUCK-Net", capable of effectively learning and generalizing from small amounts of medical images to perform accurate segmentation tasks. Our model utilizes an encoder-decoder structure with a residual downsampling mechanism and a custom convolutional block to capture and process image information at multiple resolutions in the encoder segment. We employ data augmentation techniques to enrich the training set, thus increasing our model's performance.
