The development of the memristor has generated significant interest due to its non-volatility, simple structure, and low power consumption. Memristors based on graphene offer atomic monolayer thickness, flexibility, and uniformity and have attracted attention as a promising alternative to contemporary field-effect transistor (FET) technology in applications such as logic and memory devices, achieving higher integration density and lower power consumption. The use of graphene as electrodes in memristors could also increase robustness against degradation mechanisms, including oxygen vacancy diffusion to the electrode and unwanted metal ion diffusion.

Article Synopsis
  • Child sexual abuse affects a significant percentage of children globally, with 8%-31% of girls and 3%-17% of boys impacted, prompting the need for effective prevention strategies.
  • A systematic review of studies on community interventions aimed at preventing this abuse concluded that while there is promising economic evidence for current tertiary interventions, more focus is needed on primary and secondary prevention methods.
  • Out of 5,180 articles screened, only 17 were included in the final analysis, primarily addressing cost-effectiveness in the U.S., indicating a gap in comprehensive prevention research for at-risk populations.

Objectives: The study's aim was to explore the prevalence of precarious employment (PE) in Wales prior to the COVID-19 pandemic and examine associations with PE domains across socio-demographics and self-reported health.

Study Design: A cross-sectional design was used to explore the prevalence of PE in Wales prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, in February 2020.

Methods: Data were collected from a national household survey carried out in May/June 2020, with a sample of 1032 residents in Wales.

Little is known about whether clinical, radiological or neuropathological features are associated with cognitive impairment before intracerebral haemorrhage. We conducted a community-based cohort study of 125 adults with intracerebral haemorrhage (lobar = 71, non-lobar = 54) with consent to brain autopsy. We compared small vessel disease biomarkers on diagnostic CT head and neuropathological findings including neurofibrillary tangles and amyloid plaques in adults without cognitive impairment versus cognitive impairment without dementia versus dementia before intracerebral haemorrhage, stratified by lobar and non-lobar intracerebral haemorrhage.
