Background: We have recently developed a highly accurate urine-based test, named Urodiag®, associating FGFR3 mutation and DNA methylation assays for recurrence surveillance in patients with low-, intermediate-, and high-risk NMIBC. Previously, the detection of four FGFR3 mutations (G372C, R248C, S249C and Y375C) required amplification steps and PCR products were analyzed by capillary electrophoresis (Allele Specific-PCR, AS-PCR), which was expensive and time-consuming. Here, we present the development a novel ultra-sensitive multiplex PCR assay as called "Mutated Allele Specific Oligonucleotide-PCR (MASO-PCR)", generating a cost-effective, simple, fast and clinically applicable assay for the detection of FGFR3 mutations in voided urine.

The experiments were performed in dichloromethane and in ethyl acetate, at 298 K and 268 K respectively for the first reaction step, and for the second reaction step over a temperature range from 278 to 313 K in both solvents. The first step is very fast (up to 1630 s(−1)) and on the limit of what is observable with the stopped-flow technique.

If clinical ethics remains a fundamental tool of the ethical approach in order to identify and to understand the ethical issues of a geriatric practice both complex and uncertain, as well as to adequately articulate the patient's expectations, the technical quality of care and the organization of a complex support, this area of care manifests the need for an institutionalization of the ethical approach. To be relevant, legitimate and effective, the ethical approach must not only be opened to the organizational aspects of care but also be able to fit into the institutional dynamics.

This type of detector allows direct quantification of images and so provides a clear advantage over autoradiographic film. We have optimized the device to give an image spatial resolution that closely approximates that of typical autoradiographic film.

As a global analytical method, we performed a differential display of mRNA between mouse M1 myeloid leukemia cells and derived clone LTR6 cells, which contain a stably transfected temperature-sensitive mutant of p53. At 32 degrees C wild-type p53 function is activated in LTR6 cells, resulting in programmed cell death.
