Introduction: Distal arterial occlusions can cause measurable changes in the flow wave profile in proximal segments of the feeding artery. Our objective was to study the diagnostic accuracy of point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS) of the common carotid arteries (CCA) for detection of anterior circulation large vessel occlusion (ac-LVO) in patients with suspected stroke.

Patients And Methods: We conducted a prospective, single-center, observational study of adult patients with suspected stroke admitted in the emergency department.

Objectives: Acute respiratory tract infections (ARIs) often occur in early childhood and are mostly self-limited. However, they impose a high socioeconomic burden and can be associated with chronic diseases later in life. To date, data on self-reported ARIs beyond infancy are limited.

Single-Session Surgical Intervention with Resection of a Primary Cranial Osteosarcoma and Cranioplasty using a 3D-Printed Craniotomy Template and Cranioplasty Molds.

Although osteosarcomas are the most frequent primary malignant bone tumors, the primary cranial manifestation of this condition is very rare with only a limited number of cases presented in the literature. We present the case of a 20-year-old male patient who underwent single-session surgical intervention for resection of right frontal osteosarcoma with a tailor-made craniotomy and cranioplasty using virtually designed 3D-printed templates and molds. Subsequently, the patient was treated according to the EURAMOS protocol and received adjuvant systemic chemotherapy.
