The formation of a stable alkyl At-C bond occurs during the shipment of At on a 3-octanone-impregnated column and the reactivity of At stripped from columns has been studied. The At could not be recovered from the 3-octanone organic phase using nitric acid or sodium hydroxide, even up to 10 and 15.7 M, respectively.

Multidisciplinary collaboration is key to strengthening the evidence base for multifaceted illness prevention interventions. We bring together health economics and behavioral science to explore the well-being benefits and social cost-benefit of volunteer gardening at an accredited botanic garden, Wales, UK. A health economics-informed social return on investment (SROI) evaluation was combined with the assessment of volunteers' basic psychological needs (autonomy, competence, and relatedness), connection to nature, and their interrelatedness in this innovative nature-based intervention study.

We present an unusual case of massive bilateral traumatic haemorrhagic prepatellar bursitis managed with surgical excision and describe our operative findings. The patient presented with large bilateral knee swellings which had been present for six years following a fall onto both knees.

Specifically, calorimetry measurements show that PFOA at concentrations as low as 0.1 nM lowers DPPC's gel-liquid crystalline transition enthalpy by several J/g without changing the transition temperature (), and dynamic light scattering (DLS) data illustrate that PFOA markedly broadens the size distribution of DPPC vesicles.
