Delocalized multicenter bonds play a crucial role in clusters with a planar hypercoordinate center(s), making it difficult for highly electronegative elements, especially halogen atoms, to achieve the planar hypercoordinate arrangement. Herein, we introduce a star-like cluster Br6Li5-, whose global minimum contains a planar pentacoordinate bromine (ppBr). In this cluster, the central ppBr atom coordinates with five alkali metal Li atoms, which in turn bridge an equal number of electronegative Br atoms in the periphery, leading to the formation of the binary cluster Br6Li5-.

The sensor's equivalent circuit model is analyzed and verified through simulation, and impedance matching is shown to significantly increase the sensor's output signal, particularly at low conductivity measurements. Double tuning impedance matching expands the frequency response range and optimizes power transfer efficiency, achieving a higher power factor across a broader frequency range.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFTo reveal the microstructural evolution and stress-strain distribution of 780 MPa-grade ferrite/martensite dual-phase steel during a uniaxial tensile deformation process, the plastic deformation behavior under uniaxial tension was studied using in situ EBSD and crystal plastic finite element method (CPFEM). The results showed that the geometrically necessary dislocations (GND) in ferrite accumulated continuously, which is conducive to the formation of grain boundaries, but the texture distribution did not change significantly. The average misorientation angle decreased and the proportion of low-angle grain boundaries increased with the increase of strain.
