Return to duty after non-surgical treatment of a non-neurological thoracic or lumbar spine fracture in French military patients: a retrospective analysis of 54 patients.

Introduction: Non-surgical management of non-neurological thoracic or lumbar spine (TL) fractures seems to provide good results in the civilian population, leading to return to work in most cases. However, data on the military population are limited, particularly regarding return to duty. This study aimed to describe a population of French military patients with traumatic non-neurological TL fractures and the outcomes of non-surgical management regarding operational capacity.

Home mechanical ventilation: a narrative review and a proposal of practical approach.

Growing evidence of the benefits of home ventilatory support in patients with chronic respiratory failure along with technological advances in ventilators have enabled their use in overly complex situations, shaping a new scenario for physicians. This has further given rise to new challenges related to their incorporation into current medical practice. However, this evolution needs to be coupled with knowledge and skills of physicians who are willing to prescribe Home Mechanical Ventilation (HMV), in order to prevent them from making inappropriate choices or adjustments that may ultimately have ethical and legal implications.

Autoantibody clusters in childhood-onset systemic lupus erythematosus: Insights from a multicenter study with 912 patients.

To identify clusters of autoantibodies in a large cSLE population and to verify possible associations between different autoantibody clusters and the following variables: demographic data, cumulative clinical and laboratory manifestations, disease activity, cumulative damage and mortality. A cross-sectional study was performed in 27 Pediatric Rheumatology University centers, including 912 cSLE patients. The frequencies of seven selected autoantibodies (anti-dsDNA, anti-Ro/SSA, anti-La/SSB, anti-Sm, anti-RNP, aCL IgM and/or IgG and LA) were used for cluster analysis using the K-means method.

Impact of Chlorella vulgaris and probiotic supplementation on performance, immunity and intestinal microbiota of broiler chickens.

Chlorella vulgaris has antioxidant, antimicrobial, and anti-inflammatory properties, as well as the probiotic that is important for keeping the intestinal microbiota balanced. The objective was to test the impact of supplementation with microalgae and/or probiotics on broiler chickens' performance, immunity, and intestinal microbiota. The experimental design was in randomized blocks in a 4x2 factorial scheme, with four levels of inclusion of C.

Efficient photocatalytic reactors 3D printing: SLA fabrication and TiO hybrid materials.

Additive Manufacturing (AM) was evaluated as a promising technology for constructing photocatalytic reactors due to its inherent ability to produce complex geometries with high precision and customization. In this work, a 3D structure was designed to achieve a good light distribution inside a cylindrical batch reactor and printed using the stereolithography (SLA) technique. A hybrid material composed of a commercial photoreactive resin (Formlabs Clear V4) and the benchmark photocatalyst TiO P25 Evonik (1 wt%) was prepared and characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and rheological and mechanical methods.
