High Prevalence of Posttraumatic Stress Disorder Symptoms Found in Well-Treated People with HIV after the Introduction of Patient-Reported Outcome Measures.

People with HIV (PWH) are at greater risk of experiencing mental health problems, such as depression and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). The purpose of our study was to determine the prevalence of posttraumatic stress disorder PTSD in PWH. PWH in care Amsterdam University Medical center (Amsterdam UMC) with access to the electronic patient portal were offered patient-reported outcome measures (PROMs) between May 2022 and May 2023, including the PC-PTSD-5 screen for PTSD as part of routine clinical care.

Optimising HIV care using information obtained from PROMs: protocol for an observational study.

Introduction: Successful antiviral therapy has transformed HIV infection into a chronic condition, where optimising quality of life (QoL) has become essential for successful lifelong treatment. Patient-reported outcome measures (PROMs) can signal potential physical and mental health problems related to QoL. This study aims to determine whether PROMs in routine clinical care improve quality of care as experienced by people with HIV (PWH).

Health plans often use these guidelines to help make coverage and reimbursement decisions. Humana, a major health plan, launched the Humana Genetic Guidance Program to further facilitate the appropriate use of genetic testing through education.

On-fiber derivatization for direct immersion solid-phase microextraction. Part II. Acylation of amphetamine with pentafluorobenzoyl chloride for urine analysis.

On-fiber derivatization was used for solid-phase microextraction (SPME) in order to increase the detectability and extractability of drugs in biological samples. Amphetamine, which was used as a model compound, was derivatized with pentafluorobenzoyl chloride (PFBCl) and subjected to gas chromatography with electron capture or mass spectrometric detection. Extraction was performed by direct immersion of a 100 microm polydimethylsiloxane-coated fiber into buffered human urine.
