Tracheoesophageal puncture (TEP) with voice prosthesis (VP) placement is commonly used to restore voice in laryngectomy patients. The conventional procedure utilizes a rigid esophagoscope to open and visualize the pharyngeal inlet. However, this approach is challenging in patients with postradiation changes, reduced neck extension, or trismus.

The study aimed to compare the mechanical properties and biological parameters (bone remodeling, BSM degradation) of a hydroxyapatite: silica (HA)-based BSM with various P407 hydrogels in vitro and in an in vivo rat model. Rheological analyses for mechanical properties were performed on one BSM with an SiO-enriched hydrogel (SPH25) as well on two BSMs with unaltered hydrogels in different gel concentrations (PH25 and PH30).

Background: Menstruation and menstrual health management remains a challenge worldwide, largely owing to gender inequality, social and cultural stigma, inaccessibility, and poverty. Menstrual cups may offer solutions to the many challenges. The role of medical students in the promotion of women's health cannot be understated.

To reduce manufacturing constraints, joining of subcomponents could be a promising approach to increase the mechanical performance of long-span fixed dental prostheses. In this experimental study, the biomechanical behavior of monolithic and soldered framework specimens for fixed dental prostheses made of Y-TZP was investigated.
