Water soluble Zn based quantum dots (QDs) are of interest due to their biocompatibility and less toxic features. They have been frequently used in studies related to biotechnology, especially in agriculture studies. However, to control the optical properties of Zn based QDs has still been a challenge.

Background: Elite athletes adhere to strict daily routines, particularly concerning their nutritional habits. However, these practices can occasionally lead to a pathological fixation on healthy eating known as orthorexia nervosa which may adversely affect sleep quality. The aim of this study was to examine the relationship between orthorexia nervosa tendencies and sleep quality in elite athletes, as well as to investigate potential differences in orthorexia nervosa tendencies and sleep patterns between athletes engaged in individual versus team sports.

Objective: The prevalence of chronic limb threatening ischaemia (CLTI) is increasing worldwide, resulting in the need for more patients to undergo revascularisation, especially for below the knee pathology. Nevertheless, prospective data on below the knee endovascular interventions are lacking. The aim of the study was to provide large scale, real world data on procedural and short term outcomes of popliteal and infrapopliteal endovascular interventions in patients with CLTI.

Objective: The short-term anatomical success rates of mechanochemical ablation using the Clarivein device (Merit Medical) in the treatment of great saphenous vein (GSV) incompetence are high. However, the anatomical success rates seem to drop over time. The aim of this study was to determine the long-term outcomes of GSV treatment using the Clarivein and to assess whether specific anatomical features better correlate with clinical or quality of life (QoL)-related outcomes.

Purpose: Peripheral arterial calcification is an important predictor of outcomes after both conservative and endovascular treatment. Digital subtraction angiography (DSA)-based calcification scores are limited by low sensitivity and inter-observer agreement. The Peripheral Arterial Calcium Scoring System (PACSS) assesses the severity of target lesion calcification.
