Background: HIV is a globally prevalent infection for which there is currently no cure or vaccine. As the number of individuals with HIV infection increases, so does the number of individuals wishing to have children despite being infected. This situation has highlighted issues related to couples where one partner is infected while the other is not (serodiscordant couples) and couples where both partners are positive.

Background: To evaluate the retinal and optic nerve head microvasculature in children with vitamin D deficiency using optical coherence tomography angiography (OCTA).

Methods: This prospective, cross-sectional study included 74 eyes of 37 children with vitamin D deficiency (Group I) and 64 eyes of 32 healthy children (Group II). All participants underwent OCTA examinations.

In the transformative landscape of healthcare, personalized medicine emerges as a pivotal shift, harnessing genetic, environmental and lifestyle data to tailor medical treatments for enhanced outcomes and cost efficiency. Central to its success is public engagement and consent to share health data amidst rising data privacy concerns.
