: This study aimed to identify the factors influencing and predicting the frequency of depressive experiences among married working women in South Korea in the post-COVID-19 period (2022-2023). It examines how alterations in circumstances and the complex difficulties encountered by this demographic group may have shaped their depressive experiences. Through a comparative analysis of the group reporting depressive experiences and the group reporting no depressive experiences, the study delineates the factors influencing depressive experiences within the former group and the predictive factors within the latter group.

As an infectious disease that poses a significant threat to the rapidly growing pig breeding industry, the detection of Haemophilus parasuis (HPS) is often compromised by various interfering substances present in the test sample during quantitative real-time PCR (qPCR). The rapid detection of HPS is important for the isolation of infectious pigs and their treatment. We designed and optimized a rapid qPCR test to detect the INFB gene of HPS in clinical and environmental samples on pig farms.

In radiation therapy, precise dose distribution is essential for minimizing damage to normal tissues. Gafchromic EBT3 film is widely used to assure the quality of two-dimensional dosimetry but requires frequent recalibrations due to changes in sensitivity over time. This study presents a new calibration method using a Keras-based generalized additive neural network (GANN) to address film aging.

Objectives: Examine the effect of aerobic exercise on structural brain age and explore potential mediators.

Methods: In a single-blind, 12-month randomized clinical trial, 130 healthy participants aged 26-58 years were randomized into a moderator-to-vigorous intensity aerobic exercise group or a usual-care control group. The exercise group attended 2 supervised 60-minute sessions per week in a laboratory setting plus home-based exercise to achieve 150 minutes of exercise per week.

We here extracted a polysaccharide fragment from Gastrodia elata, characterized by a main chain connected via (1 → 4)-α-D-Glcp bonds, with terminal α-D-Glcp-(1→) linked to the main chain through O-6 of (1 → 4,6)-α-D-Glcp and O-3 of (1 → 3,4)-α-D-Glcp (SRGP). Both in vitro and in vivo experiments demonstrated that SRGP activates the TLR4/NF-κB signaling pathway, exerting immunomodulatory effects and alleviating cyclophosphamide (CTX)-induced intestinal mucosal damage in mice. High-throughput 16S rRNA sequencing further revealed that SRGP restores gut microbiota composition and enhances the abundance of specific bacterial populations.
