In neonatology and pediatric intensive care units, as in pediatric units, development support care practiced according to the approach of psychologist André Bullinger takes into account sensorimotor and psychological aspects. Considering the quality and quantity of movements, from the antenatal period, allows for individualized and early care. Sensitive periods of sensorimotor development, during which brain plasticity is optimal, are decisive for psychomotor and cognitive development.

We examined 45 articles and 4 reports from safety agencies. These studies recommend a tub bath (rather than a sponge bath) for full-term infants and a swaddle bath for preterm newborns.

Angelman syndrome is a neurogenetic disorder characterized by intellectual and developmental disability. Common behavioral characteristics of this disorder include a heightened interest in social interactions and frequent bids to initiate interaction. These bids can be problematic, for instance, when a child attempts to hug strangers in public places.

PH3 patients are believed to present with a less severe phenotype than those with PH1 and PH2, but the clinical characteristics of PH3 patients have yet to be defined in sufficient detail.
