A transfeminine patient is a 79-year-old with past medical history significant for type 2 diabetes mellitus, hypertension, gender dysphoria, chronic kidney disease, dyslipidemia, total left hip replacement, and recent provoked deep venous thromboembolism (DVT). She was seen by a pharmacist in a primary care clinic after her discharge from a skilled nursing facility. The patient was experiencing symptoms of gender dysphoria after discontinuation of her estradiol in setting of her DVT.

Context: In March 2020, public health concerns resulted in school closure throughout the United States. The prolonged sport cessation may affect knee injury risk in high school athletes. The purpose of this study was to describe and compare risk of knee injuries in high school athletes during 2019-2020 and 2020-2021 academic years, and stratify by gender, severity, mechanism of injury, injury type, and knee anatomic region.

Comparison of multimodal attract-and-kill formulations for managing Drosophila suzukii: Behavioral and lethal effects.

Attract-and-kill (A&K) is a potential alternative control tactic for managing the invasive spotted-wing drosophila, Drosophila suzukii Matsumura. Here, we compared the efficacy of two novel A&K formulations based on proprietary blends-ACTTRA SWD OR1 (henceforth OR1) and ACTTRA SWD TD (henceforth TD)-in managing D. suzukii.

Perspectives on health care transition among U.S. parents of internationally adopted children living with HIV: A qualitative study.

Objective: To analyze perspectives on health care transitions among parents who have internationally adopted children living with HIV (IACH)The transition of youth with living with HIV from pediatric to adult care is associated with adverse health outcomes, including poor medication adherence and appointment attendance. However, little is known about the experiences of IACH.

Methods: This qualitative project explores the perspectives of 17 parents of 24 IACH in the United States through hour-long semi-structured phone interviews focused on healthcare transition.
