Citizen science projects optimise the democratisation of the production of scientific knowledge. In these initiatives, research processes do not rely solely on scientists' but on citizens' engagement likewise with benefits on both sides. As previous work shows, the democratisation perspective of citizen science projects might be viewed critically as some groups of citizens tend to be overrepresented in these initiatives while other are left out.

Although a growing number of surgical patients are regular cannabis consumers, little is known regarding the pharmacological interactions between cannabis and general anesthetics; consequently, there is not a solid consensus among anesthesiologists on the perioperative management of these patients. The existing evidence about the molecular mechanisms underlying pharmacological interactions between cannabinoids and anesthetic agents, both in animal models and in humans, shows divergent results.

We detail the preparation and culturing of mouse brain slices followed by tumor cell injection, allowing for the analysis of different aspects of the cellular migration and invasion process. Our assay facilitates testing diverse perturbations including genetic modifications and treatments in a physiological context.
