Introduction: Burn injuries incur not just significant morbidity but also long-term psychosocial impact. This study aims to identify the clinico-demographics of children hospitalised for burns and factors associated with prolonged hospitalisation.

Materials And Methods: Written medical records of burn patients admitted to the Sultanah Aminah Hospital paediatric surgical ward, from January 2016 to December 2018, were retrospectively reviewed.

Efficacy and Safety of Vagus Nerve Stimulation in Stroke Rehabilitation: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis.

Introduction: Recent randomized controlled trials (RCTs) have assessed the role of vagus nerve stimulation (VNS) when paired with standard rehabilitation in stroke patients. This review aimed to evaluate the efficacy and safety of VNS as a novel treatment option for post-stroke recovery.

Methods: We searched PubMed, EMBASE, Cochrane Database of Systematic Reviews, Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials (CENTRAL), and CINAHL Plus for articles published from their date of inception to June 2021.

Background: Dengue infection is the most prevalent mosquito-borne viral infection globally. Concurrently, there has also been an upsurge of non-communicable comorbidities. We aimed to investigate the association between these comorbidities and the development of severe dengue.

Background: Total serum bilirubin (TSB) is used in managing neonates with jaundice, but clear evidence on its association with major outcomes is lacking.

Objectives: We evaluated the association between TSB and kernicterus spectrum disorder (KSD).

Methods: We searched PubMed, EMBASE, and CENTRAL till July 2021.
