Alba domain-containing proteins are ubiquitously found in archaea and eukaryotes. By binding to either DNA, RNA, or DNA:RNA hybrids, these proteins function in genome stabilization, chromatin organization, gene regulation, and/or translational modulation. In the malaria parasite , six Alba domain proteins PfAlba1-6 have been described, of which PfAlba1 has emerged as a "master regulator" of translation during parasite intra-erythrocytic development (IED).

This study investigated antibiotic resistance in isolates from municipal wastewater (86 isolates) and clinical urinary tract infection (UTI) cases (34 isolates) in a Grenadian community, using data from January 2022 to October 2023. Antibiogram data, assessed per WHO guidelines for Critically Important antimicrobials (CIA), showed the highest resistance levels in both clinical and wastewater samples for ampicillin, followed by amoxicillin/clavulanic acid and nalidixic acid, all classified as Critically Important.

Research examining impacts and outcomes of childhood bereavement and supportive interventions has highlighted a myriad of factors that influence children's unique, complex experiences of grief, necessitating a personalized, child-centred approach. Children's grief support is underpinned by well-established grief theories studied primarily in adult populations, and stage-based developmental theories that characterise child development as "normative" and universal.

Interdisciplinary care is increasingly promoted to enhance satisfaction and outcomes for individuals with complex medical conditions, such as Parkinson's disease (PD). However, there is little research on the feasibility or efficacy of interdisciplinary care in clinical settings. And, while the use of an integrated team of allied health professionals has the potential to provide significant health benefits to individuals with PD, there are educational and logistical barriers to the use of interdisciplinary care in clinical settings.
