To address the demands of rapidly advancing precision instruments requiring higher efficiency and miniaturization, permanent magnets must exhibit exceptional energy density, temperature stability, high magnetic energy product [()], and adequate coercivity (). Herein, we design rare earth Er-based magnets (2 : 17-type Er-magnets) with a composition of (Er, Sm)(Co, Fe, Cu, Zr). Erbium-based compounds (ErCo) offer a unique combination of temperature compensation and high saturation magnetization compared to other heavy rare earth elements, resulting in 2 : 17-type Er-magnets with superior temperature stability in and ().

The Johns Hopkins School of Nursing's Center for Community Programs, Innovation, and Scholarship (COMPASS Center) provides free wellness services, aiming to address healthcare disparities in the neighborhoods.
Objective: To delineate the types and cost of wellness services provided by the COMPASS Center.
Nonmodel microbes with unique advantages are emerging as industrial platforms, driven by advances in genetic engineering and omics technologies. Notable examples include the versatile soil bacterium Pseudomonas putida KT2440, the halophilic Halomonas bluephagenesis TD01, and the ethanologenic Zymomonas mobilis ZM4. While all three primarily use the Entner-Doudoroff pathway for glucose metabolism, they differ in various metabolic pathways and product synthesis.

This study aimed to investigate the therapeutic efficacy and prognostic factors of ventriculoperitoneal (VP) shunt in non-human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) CM patients with intracranial hypertension.
Methodology: A total of 136 non-HIV CM patients with intracranial hypertension treated in our hospital from July 2010 to December 2019 were retrospectively included.
Resistance to epidermal growth factor receptor tyrosine kinase inhibitors (EGFR-TKIs) is the main cause of mortality in lung cancer. This study aimed to investigate the roles of neuropilin 1 (NRP1) in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). NRP1 expression was assessed in tumor tissues from patients with osimertinib-resistant (OR) NSCLC and osimertinib-responsive NSCLC as well as in patients with paracancerous NSCLC tissues who did not undergo radiotherapy or chemotherapy.
