Progression of resectable pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma during surgical delay and effects on survival - A propensity score matched study.

Background: Surgery is the only curative treatment for pancreatic cancer, but less than 25 % of the patients present with a resectable tumor at the time of diagnosis. The aim of this study is to evaluate progression during surgical treatment delay and examine any associations between surgical treatment delay and survival.

Methods: This is a retrospective, single center propensity score matched study including treatment naïve patients with pancreatic adenocarcinoma between 2018 and 2022.

Effects of caloric restriction with different doses of exercise on fat loss in people living with type 2 diabetes: A secondary analysis of the DOSE-EX randomized clinical trial.

Background: Fat loss mainly conveys the benefits of caloric restriction for people living with type 2 diabetes. The literature is equivocal regarding whether exercise facilitates fat loss during caloric restriction. This analysis aimed to assess the dose-response effects of exercise in combination with a caloric restriction on fat mass (FM) and FM percentage (FM %) in persons with diagnosed type 2 diabetes.

Diversity of current ultrasound practice within and outside radiology departments with a vision for 20 years into the future: a position paper of the ESR ultrasound subcommittee.

Ultrasound practice is a longstanding tradition for radiology departments, being part of the family of imaging techniques. Ultrasound is widely practiced by non-radiologists but becoming less popular within radiology. The position of ultrasound in radiology is reviewed, and a possible long-term solution to manage radiologist expectations is proposed.

3D Ultrasound and MRI in Assessing Resection Margins during Tongue Cancer Surgery: A Research Protocol for a Clinical Diagnostic Accuracy Study.

Surgery is the primary treatment for tongue cancer. The goal is a complete resection of the tumor with an adequate margin of healthy tissue around the tumor.Inadequate margins lead to a high risk of local cancer recurrence and the need for adjuvant therapies.
