The group represents a serious risk in powdered and amylaceous foodstuffs. Cold plasma (the fourth state of matter) is emerging as an alternative effective nonthermal technology for pasteurizing a wide range of matrices in solid, liquid, and powder form. The present study aims to evaluate the mechanisms involved in inactivation via cold plasma, focusing on (i) the technology's ability to generate damage in cells (at the morphological and molecular levels) and (ii) studying the effectiveness of cold plasma in biofilm mitigation through the direct effect and inhibition of the biofilm-forming capacity of sublethally damaged cells post-treatment.

Non-ionic surfactants such as Polysorbate 20/ 80 (PS20/ PS80), are commonly used in protein drug formulations to increase protein stability by protecting against interfacial stress and surface absorption. Polysorbate is susceptible to degradation which can impact product stability, leading to the formation of sub-visible and/or visible particles in the drug product during its shelf-life, affecting patient safety and efficacy. Therefore, it is important to monitor polysorbate concentration in drug product formulations of biotherapeutic drugs.

Since December 2019, many drugs have been evaluated or advocated as potential treatments of SARS-CoV-2 induced disease (COVID-19), including many repositioned drugs and some others specifically developed for these diseases. They can be roughly classified into three categories according to their main mechanism of action (passive immunization, direct antivirals, and anti-inflammatory treatments), and their use depends on the stage of the disease. Despite often promising preclinical data, most of the treatments evaluated failed to show a significant clinical benefit.

Charcot-Marie-Tooth (CMT) disease is one of the most common inherited neurological disorders, affecting either axons from the motor and/or sensory neurons or Schwann cells of the peripheral nervous system (PNS) and caused by more than 100 genes. We previously identified mutations in FGD4 as responsible for CMT4H, an autosomal recessive demyelinating form of CMT disease. FGD4 encodes FRABIN, a GDP/GTP nucleotide exchange factor, particularly for the small GTPase Cdc42.
