Antinuclear antibodies (ANA) are often found in ILD; whether ANA is associated with radiographic progression of quantitive interstital lung changes is unknown. We performed longitudinal analyses of adults in the Multi-Ethnic Study of Atherosclerosis using linear mixed effects models with random intercept and slope to evaluate whether baseline ANA was associated with change in the amount of lung with high attenuation areas on CT (HAAs, percentage of imaged lung with -600 to -250 HU). In 6,638 subjects with 17,293 CT scans over 18 years, 741 (11%) were ANA positive.

Methods: We interviewed 22 of 24 participants randomized to HCL therapy or SAPT in the Pregnancy Intervention with a Closed-Loop System study.
Introduction: The purpose of this study was to review rates of infection after civilian ballistic fractures and assess the effect of early antibiotic administration (EAA) on infection rates.
Methods: This was a retrospective cohort study done at an urban Level 1 Trauma Center. Patients ages 16 years and older with ballistic orthopaedic extremity injuries between May 2018 and December 2020 were enrolled.
Tacrolimus and mycophenolate are important immunosuppressive agents used to prevent organ rejection in post-transplant patients. While highly effective, their use is associated with significant toxicity, requiring careful management. Tacrolimus, a calcineurin inhibitor, is linked to nephrotoxicity, neurotoxicity, metabolic disturbances such as diabetes mellitus and dyslipidemia, and cardiovascular complications such as hypertension and arrhythmias.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFAssessing the health status of vegetation is of vital importance for all stakeholders. Multi-spectral and hyper-spectral imaging systems are tools for evaluating the health of vegetation in laboratory settings, and also hold the potential of assessing vegetation of large portions of land. However, the literature lacks benchmark datasets to test algorithms for predicting plant health status, with most researchers creating tailored datasets.
