Article Synopsis
  • This study investigates the effectiveness of transdiagnostic interventions for common mental disorders in primary care, aiming to treat various psychiatric issues without being limited to specific diagnoses.
  • A systematic review and meta-analysis were performed on 38 randomized controlled trials, revealing significant reductions in symptoms of depression and anxiety through these interventions, while outcomes for somatoform disorders were less pronounced.
  • The findings suggest that transdiagnostic approaches are effective and feasible even when delivered by healthcare professionals not trained specifically in psychotherapy, though proper training is still important.

The molecular mechanisms contributing to large artery stiffness (LAS) are not fully understood. The aim of this study was to investigate the association between circulating plasma proteins and LAS using complementary proteomic and genomic analyses. A total of 106 proteins associated with carotid-femoral pulse-wave velocity, a noninvasive measure of LAS, were identified in 1,178 individuals from the Asklepios study cohort.

: Subcutaneous immunotherapy (SCIT) and sublingual immunotherapy (SLIT) are commonly used for allergic rhinitis (AR), yet limited research has directly compared their effects on quality of life (QoL). We aimed to assess QoL differences between SLIT and SCIT recipients. As both forms of immunotherapy have reported benefits, we hypothesize that patients undergoing SLIT and SCIT will have comparable QoL improvements.

Therefore, the aim of this systematic review was to identify screening tools that either take a multiple-mental disorder or a transdiagnostic approach. As primary and secondary outcomes, diagnostic accuracy and time efficiency were investigated.
