Considering the close relationship between spectral absorption features of visible-near infrared and “Fraction of Absorbed Photosynthetically Active Radiation(FAPAR)”, the “automatic recognition method of hyperspectral curve’s characteristic absorption peak” and “quantization method of spectral absorption characteristic parameters” were used to extract the hyperspectral absorption characteristic parameters which are sensitive to FAPAR. Referring to mathematical form of vegetation index, visible-near infrared spectral absorption characteristic parameters were used to replace spectral reflectance and create a new vegetation index to estimate FAPAR of vegetation. The data from 2014 and 2015 on typical natural grassland community canopy in the middle and eastern Inner Mongolia was chosen to build and verify the model of estimating FAPAR.

Background: Ischemia-reperfusion (I/R) injuries consist of enhanced oxidative and inflammatory responses along with microvascular dysfunction after prolonged ischemia and reperfusion. Because I/R injuries induce chronic postischemia pain (CPIP) in laboratory animals, it is possible that surgical procedures using prolonged ischemia may result in chronic postoperative pain. Glycemic modulation during ischemia and reperfusion could affect pain after I/R injury because glucose triggers oxidative, inflammatory, and thrombotic reactions, whereas insulin has antioxidative, antiinflammatory, and vasodilatory properties.

Catel-Manzke syndrome in a female infant: We describe a girl with typical features of the Catel-Manzke syndrome. Although most cases described are boys, X-linked inheritance is not very likely now at least four females with this syndrome have been described.
