Background: Low English language literacy is a common barrier to participation in clinical trials. Patient information leaflets (PILs) used in clinical trials are often lengthy, complex and have poor readability; this is a persistent and prevalent problem common to trials across the world. Simplifying the information provided in PILs can lead to improved understanding, comprehension and knowledge.

This study investigates the effect of extrusion screw speed and carbon nanotube (CNT) concentration on the thermal, mechanical, and electromagnetic interference shielding effectiveness (EMI SE) properties of Polycarbonate (PC)/acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene (ABS) and its polymer nanocomposites (PNCs) by means of design of experiments (DoE) approach. A masterbatch method was employed to obtain the best dispersion of the CNTs throughout the polymer matrix. This study evaluates the thermo-mechanical characterisation of the polymers and PNCs at varying screw speeds to assess filler matrix bonding.

Fibroblasts in a confluent monolayer are known to adopt elongated morphologies in which cells are oriented parallel to their neighbors. We collected and analyzed new microscopy movies to show that confluent fibroblasts are motile and that neighboring cells often move in anti-parallel directions in a collective motion phenomenon we refer to as "fluidization" of the cell population.
