Congenital epulides, rare benign gum tumours which present at birth, pose challenges for neonatal anaesthesia due to potential airway obstruction and surgical requirements. This case report discusses successful anaesthesia for a newborn with these tumours. An oversized facemask enabled an adequate seal, and videolaryngoscopy provided good airway visualisation for orotracheal intubation.

Evidence demonstrates that psychoeducation interventions have clinical and recovery-related benefits for people experiencing psychosis and their family members. The EOLAS programmes are one example of recovery-oriented psychoeducation programmes for psychosis. They differ from other programmes in that they are co-designed and co-facilitated (peer and clinician) group programmes.

Genomic alterations affecting Janus kinase 2 () correlate with some of the poorest outcomes within the Philadelphia-like subtype of ALL. Given the success of kinase inhibitors in the treatment of chronic myeloid leukemia, the discovery of activating point mutations and fusion genes in ALL, was a breakthrough for potential targeted therapies.
