Article Synopsis
  • The study compares the safety of baclofen and tizanidine, two muscle relaxants, in older adults, focusing on the risks of injury and delirium.
  • Baclofen was found to significantly increase the risk of injury (1.54 times higher) and delirium (3.33 times higher) compared to tizanidine among patients aged 65 and older.
  • The authors recommend further research to explore if these risks are related to the dosage and the need for a comparison group not taking either medication.
