Injuries Among Pediatric Age Group Children Attending the Emergency Department of Maternity and Children Hospital, Buraidah City.

Background Pediatric age group injuries is one of the burdens on a nation's GDP and parents' income and productivity. Multiple factors cause such injuries, and some of them can be prevented by simple care from the parents and their knowledge and practice at the time of injury. This study aims to determine the prevalence of injuries and associations between demographic factors and other risk factors with the type of injuries and severity of injuries.

Evaluation of a passive back-support exoskeleton in bed-to-chair patient handling tasks.

This study assessed the impact of a passive back-support exoskeleton (Laevo V2.5; Laevo, Netherlands) on trunk and hip postures, lower back muscle activity and heart rate during four common patient handling tasks: task 1, lying to sitting; task 2, sitting to standing; task 3, standing to sitting; task 4, bed-to-wheelchair transfer. Eight participants performed these tasks with and without the exoskeleton.

Family Medicine Residents' Confidence in Performing a Basic Obstetric Ultrasound at Primary Health Care Centres in Qassim Province, Saudi Arabia.

Background The family medicine (FM) specialty is a link between the community and the hospital. FM residents performing ultrasounds, detecting problems early, and suggesting appropriate health intervention will reduce time and improve maternal health care as per the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS) and Saudi Vision 2030 initiative. The study's objectives are to find out the confidence of FM residents about basic ultrasound performance and the barriers associated with obstetric ultrasound at primary health care centers (PHCCs).

Background: Biomarkers of Alzheimer's disease (AD) and mild cognitive impairment (MCI, or prodromal AD) are highly significant for early diagnosis, clinical trials and treatment outcome evaluations. Electroencephalography (EEG), being noninvasive and easily accessible, has recently been the center of focus. However, a comprehensive understanding of EEG in dementia is still needed.

Cavernous Angioma: A Rare Cause of Multiple Cranial Nerve Palsies.

Acute onset of neurological deficit is highly suggestive of stroke; in such cases, computed tomography (CT) brain is the initial choice of investigation. While CT brain can differentiate between hemorrhagic and ischemic infarct, more often than not, it is unable to detect the underlying etiology of intracerebral hemorrhage. In these situations, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) brain is crucial in determining the exact etiology and helps us tailor the specific management best suited for our patient.
