Identification, Biocontrol and Plant Growth Promotion Potential of Endophytic Streptomyces sp. a13.

Medicinal plants often harbour various endophytic actinomycetia, which are well known for their potent antimicrobial properties and plant growth-promoting traits. In this study, we isolated an endophytic actinomycetia, A13, from the leaves of tea clone P312 from the MEG Tea Estate, Meghalaya, India. The isolate A13 was identified as Streptomyces sp.

Ecophysiological status of copepods in the oxygen minimum zone of Eastern Arabian Sea.

Eutrophication of marine ecosystems is a global problem, particularly in a changing climate and the spreading of Oxygen Minimum Zones (OMZs). The eastern Arabian Sea has both seasonal and permanent/perennial OMZs, but our understanding of the fauna there is extremely poor. So, this study investigated the composition and physiological status (alive or dead) of zooplankton (copepods) in the two OMZs.

Recent Advances in Marine-Derived Nanoformulation for the Management of Glioblastoma.

Glioma is the most common and aggressive type of central nervous system tumor as categorized by the World Health Organization. Glioblastoma (GBA), in general, exhibits a grim prognosis and short life expectancy, rarely exceeding 14 months. The dismal prognosis is primarily attributed to the development of chemoresistance to temozolomide, the primary therapeutic agent for GBA treatment.

The study aimed to ascertain a relationship between agricultural status, socioeconomic factors, and nutrition of farm families. The study was conducted in selected villages in the West Garo Hills district of Meghalaya, using Stratified Random Sampling (St. RS).
