: Despite the strong declining trends in incidence and mortality over the last decades, gastric cancer (GC) is still burdened with high mortality, even in high-income countries. To improve GC prognosis, several guidelines have been increasingly published with indications about the most appropriate GC management. The Italian Society of Digestive System Pathology (SIPAD) and Gastric Cancer Italian Research Group (GIRCG) designed a survey for both surgeons and patients with the purpose of evaluating the degree of application and adherence to guidelines in GC management in Italy.

Obesity/overweight and its complications are a growing problem in many countries. Italian Society of Bariatric and Metabolic Surgery for Obesity (Società Italiana di Chirurgia dell'Obesità e delle Malattie Metaboliche-SICOB) decided to develop the first Italian guidelines for the endoscopic bariatric treatment of obesity. The creation of SICOB Guidelines is based on an extended work made by a panel of 44 members and a coordinator.

Aim: This case report describes a giant pheochromocytoma in a young female, experienced cardiac symptoms, treated by a transperitoneal laparoscopic right adrenalectomy.

Material And Methods: A 29 years old female with Taki-tsubo syndrome, consequent to the chronic release of catecholamines, with a palpable abdominal mass and vague abdominal symptoms was referred to our department. Abdominal CT scan has demonstrated a solid mass of 13 cm in the right adrenal space so, after pre-operative management with alpha-adrenergic receptor and beta blockade and a 3D CT scan reconstruction a right adrenalectomy laparoscopic approach was performed.

The aim of this systematic review is to identify patient-related, perioperative and technical risk factors for esophago-jejunal anastomotic leakage (EJAL) in patients undergoing total gastrectomy for gastric cancer (GC). A comprehensive literature search of PubMed/MEDLINE, Embase and Scopus databases was performed. Studies providing factors predictive of EJAL by uni- and multivariate analysis or an estimate of association between EJAL and related risk factors were included.
