The Bipolar-Schizophrenia Network for Intermediate Phenotypes (B-SNIP) created psychosis Biotypes based on neurobiological measurements in a multi-ancestry sample. These Biotypes cut across DSM diagnoses of schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, and bipolar disorder with psychosis. Two recently developed post hoc ancestry adjustment methods of Polygenic Risk Scores (PRSs) generate Ancestry-Adjusted PRSs (AAPRSs), which allow for PRS analysis of multi-ancestry samples.

Esophageal cancer is a major malignancy with a high incidence and poor prognosis. To elucidate the mechanisms underlying its progression, particularly with respect to cell division and spindle orientation, we investigated the role of m6A modifications and the centrosomal protein CEP170. Using m6A-seq and RNA-seq of esophageal cancer tissues and adjacent normal tissues, we identified significant alterations in m6A modifications and gene expression, highlighting the upregulation and m6A enrichment of CEP170 in tumor tissues.

Background: Chronic atrophic gastritis (CAG) is a chronic disease of the gastric mucosa characterized by a reduction or an absolute disappearance of the original gastric glands, possibly replaced by pseudopyloric fibrosis, intestinal metaplasia, or fibrosis. CAG develops progressively into intestinal epithelial metaplasia, dysplasia, and ultimately, gastric cancer. Epidemiological statistics have revealed a positive correlation between the incidence of CAG and age.

Background And Aims: Population-based observational studies suggest that endoscopic screening may reduce upper gastrointestinal cancer mortality. We aimed to quantify the effect of endoscopy screening.

Methods: This is a community-based, multicenter, cluster randomized clinical trial conducted in both high-risk and non-high-risk areas of China.

A photocatalytic dearomative hydrosilylation reaction of indole derivatives with silanes has been accomplished for the synthesis of valuable indolinyl silanes through a carbon-silyl radical coupling process with the cooperation of photoredox and hydrogen atom transfer catalytic systems composed of 3DPA2FBN (2,4,6-tris(diphenylamino)-3,5-difluorobenzonitrile), (i-Pr)SiSH, and base additives. This protocol is featured by a broad substrate scope, transition metal-free conditions, high diastereoselectivities and applications in natural product derivatives.
