Corynosoma pseudohamanni Zdzitowiecki, 1984 (Polymorphidae) was described from the intestinal tract of 5 species of seals including the type and main host, the Weddell seal Leptonycotes weddellii (Lesson) in the South Shetlands, West Antarctica. Notothenia coriiceps was the primary paratenic host of 14 fish hosts reported in the original description. We describe excysted juveniles from the body cavity of the major paratenic host, Notothenia coriiceps Richardson collected off Galindez Island, Argentine Islands, West Antarctica for the first time.

To find support for risk-modifying genes in breast cancer, a haplotype GWAS in sporadic breast cancer cases was undertaken. The results were compared with the results from previous analyses in familial cases and all cases from the same Swedish cohort. In total, 2550 women with sporadic invasive breast cancer and 5021 healthy controls were included in a sliding-window haplotype GWAS using PLINK 1.

Article Synopsis
  • * The study introduces enhanced modeling techniques for neutrino flux and detector response, and it distinguishes between starting (inside) and throughgoing (outside) neutrino interaction events to improve energy resolution.
  • * The findings indicate a best-fit point for the 3+1 model with sin²(2θ_{24})=0.16 and Δm_{41}²=3.5 eV², supporting previous studies while showing consistency with no evidence of sterile neutrinos, as reflected
